Is your worth dependent on other mortal human beings’ opinion or judgements?…. Useful tips…
Cardiologist Dr Emma Karari endeavors to heal both hearts and hurts.
Her contributions in the ‘Ask the Doctor’ (‘Uria Ndagitari’) July 13th, 2026, Inooro TV program presented very good food for thought.
According to her no mature adult should wait to be validate by any other persons… Individuals must stop listening to what others say about them (the individuals) but must only rely on what God almighty says about each one of us as His children fearfully and wonderfully created as mentioned in Psalm 139: 14-18…
Gossip and rumors and public opinion (said by an English proverb to be unfair – – – – ‘nothing is as unjust and as capricious as public opinion) should be ignored and let loose to fly with the winds.
Yet, parents have a God- given duty to daily validate their children by appreciating the children, the children’ s efforts and good deeds and correcting wrongs.
Many individuals who misbehave and even show weird and psycho-social traits and even murder others often tend to be people who were never validated especially in their childhood by parents and the Society.
Moreover, Dr Karari advised people to avoid loving their loved ones too much (‘with all their hearts’) as if life depends on these loved ones. She said people must love God almighty ONLY with ‘their whole hearts’ ……..
….Dr Karari urged parents to raise up children with wisdom and love up to the reasonable age where they are mature enough to leave home. “When the children leave, don’t over-stress yourselves worrying about their issues. Million of our youths and young adults are grappling with such and similar issues in Africa and other parts of the world. Don’t even fret about their children (the grandchildren). Remember you did your part in raising up the children.
“Please let go and allow God almighty to take charge in your children’s and their children’s lives,” Dr Karari added.
“If your loved ones die, including spouses, children, relatives and friends please mourn for some reasonable period and accept the reality of deaths. Remember that God almighty is aware of your situation and has given you, and each one of us, the right to life not pegged on the life or death of other persons including our most beloved. Let us too and accept the reality of death. Continue living productively and in peace only cherishing the memories of the time God allowed you to enjoy with the departed.
“Should you lose your job or livelihood, or even reach retirement, please accept that reality and try to get some work, any work for a start as your assimilate and accept the retirement of reality, that can keep you busy. Try to make your skills and talents work for you. Don’t remain idle at home or in the house and don’t fret needlessly. Trust God almighty for He is always aware of our situations. .
“Try to start some business or even write books about your life or the lives of others (with permission of course) if you like journaling. Engage yourself in agriculture if possible. But never stay idle and sad at home as this increases the possibilities of one getting stressed.
“Trust God almighty with all your heart. Have an attitude of victory over defeat and over your circumstances and situations because you’re a child of almighty God. Be always positive, happy and confident.. Trust God that your situation will change and after that you’ll have testimonies of victories. Always look to identify the silver lining in every cloud seen in your life,” Dr Karari encouraged.. .
According to her, life is still meaningful in all situations.
“Go out and socialize with friends or other people but still guard your values and morals. Take nature walks to enjoy the green healing of our natural habitat and to fight the daily stresses of life and practical living.
“But if you feel overwhelmed, try to talk openly with a confidant or better still seek professional help from counselors,” she emphasized.
“Have a great personal relationship with your God. Talk to God almighty confidently daily and even at every moment of your life,” Dr Karari added.
According to her the ‘salvation of God almighty /salvation of Jesus Christ’ must be demystified. One gets ‘saved’ by believing fully that Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose on the third day and then confidently confessing that fact followed by doing good as Jesus Christ did.
