Why LEADERSHIP could be a tall order?

People who get elected into leadership positions in government or related institutions and organizations or those who find themselves as leaders by default even at family, village or community levels fight many battles some personally and others supported by their ‘cheer-leaders’.
While national, county or corporations’ & firms’ leaders are expected to meet very diverse expectations of multitudes of people, those at community and family levels face equally challenging dilemmas.
As human beings themselves first with feelings and foibles, many leaders at times have to sacrifice their personas in order to meet expectations of the masses or community or even family members.
It is unsurprising then that leadership is offered as a specialist course at some institutions of higher learning given that private firms especially keenly seek to recruit ‘professionals’ leaders.
Private firms can not just bet on ‘naturally-born’ leaders and require effective leadership for better operations and bottomline.
Still, the various dilemmas & challenges facing leaders at different levels and in different leadership arenas need to be highlighted to enable citizens, community & even family members to learn and acknowledge that leadership is not easy and to help in overcoming ‘over expectations’ that these categories of people (the subjects or ruled) normally have.
Leaders on their parts need to be strong, informed and even philosophical in order to offer effective leadership and even surmount challenges that would see the ‘weak – willed’ taking refugee in everyday mental health counseling and seminars or even rehabilitation or mental health institutions.
Moreover, leaders must embrace great ethics, & progressive practices and lead effectively and humanely; they must continue ‘learning on their jobs’ and cultivate the highest emotional intelligence levels & ethical standards possible.
… They must partner with genuine counsel and listen to their people and also express themselves and explain issues to facilitate better communication and dialogue in their different settings and arenas.
Yet, all leaders must seek solace in their Higher Power and in God almighty seeking fortitude and wisdom and protection.
… After all leadership is a necessity in life and evidently was constituted by God almighty who loves order and smooth flows of the life He initiated on earth.
