Rather amazing

Do wild birds like domestic animals recognize the human beings they somehow interact with in their everyday existence?
This question came to mind today from keen observations. When free, I often volunteer to clean my immediate compound and even weed out the weed in my kitchen garden. Every timet I remove the weed and leave a rather clean ground, I notice that some two birds at least keep watch and even fly into the clean ground scratching the ground and looking for insects.
I’ve noticed that one of the birds appears like the one I always see when I engage in the activities.
Earlier today I had the chance to weed for a few minutes and a few minutes later I noticed the small brown bird with a wide yellow tail feathers hanging around near where I had weeded.
I believe that i wasn’t over imagining but I saw and realized that it was observing or looking at me keenly as it jumped here and there.
I decided to follow it slowly and I realized that it wasn’t frightened and was just jumping up and down in a path like way but of course cautiously lest I attack it.
I let it go to attend to other duties.
In reflection, i recognized this as one of the the small birds that tend to keep me company every time i weed or harvest items such as Irish and sweet potatoes.
In further reflections, I started wondering what could have been in the small birds mind….
Perhaps it was wishing that i should return to remove the weed in a larger area so that it can get clean ground for it to forage and pick the live insects that often live amid the weeds 😊😊🤔.
Perhaps the tiny bird knows and recognizes me as the person who often weeds and tills, the garden 😊🤔..
