Why are you positioned there?(life reflections series):

Each one of us faces different life realities and predicaments. Each one of is also uniquely created and different and essentially then, it is God almighty, our Creator, or the Superior Force to some, who authored differentiation in life.

In modern medicine, even treatments are getting personalized for efficiency in treatment regimes and efficacy especially of drugs.

Even manufacturers today also offer customers the option of buying customized products to ultimately, fully or satisfactorily meet individual needs, goals and expectations.

Ideally then, no single person is obliged to base life experiences or the results thereof or even life satisfaction or success or even expectations on how someone else lives or lived.

In the Agikuyu Culture a proverb warns, (paraphrased), “imitations led to the seering (burning) of frogs behinds (buttocks)” (in Gigikuyu language ‘mwigerekanio wariire ciiura matina’).

The proverb wisely cautions people against imitating or copying others.

So, as you reflect on these among other life realities consider the leadership or other positions you hold in life at whatever level.

As a parent or father especially or ‘single parent’, always contemplate, reflect & consider why God almighty favoured you with that responsibility.

As a political or other such leader, always remember that you are privileged as a steward of God almighty’s people and His resources (theirs by His favour).

If you find yourself as a family head, at times by default, look to God almighty for strength and wisdom given the myriad challenges encountered in many family settings.

Trust in God for fortitude, courage, honesty, accountability and resilience.

Do not let the nay sayers, cynics & skeptics including ‘close’ friends, siblings or relatives sway you from the course which your God, who knows your situation and position and who appointed you to the roles or positions, is wisely leading you through.

Look for ways and means of coping with the tough tasks and duties and responsibilities you hold.

Do not look to people for approval… Perhaps seek advice and cautiously from only the very few trustworthy people remaining in our Society and ultimately seek God almighty for the best decisions because ultimately the back stops with you …
