Apart from her youthful & relatively educated population, Africa has an equally huge and growing middle class that is fueling demand for smart things in life including electronics and electrical consumables & equipment.
According to Mr Rakesh Singh, MD – Opalnet Ltd, given the changing demand for premium equipment and consumables including electronic and electrical ones has continued to rise in Kenya and other parts of Africa.

Singh observed that more homes are connected and will continue being connected to electrical power & internet with this in turn fueling demand for smart and innovative products.

Under the theme “Make Yourself Feel at home,” the Space Master series provide scientific storage of 70 kg to 102 kg and up to 80 liters of extra storage space. “The series is built with more space providing features such as flash cooling in bigger, healthier spaces that help in saving cash,’ affirmed Will Liang, Midea Refrigerator Product Manager.
Further, Midea provides over 200 washing machines models. According to Giha Lee (Washing Machines Product Manager) special features include front loading washing & driers in Midea LAD 2.0 new features. There is power mix spray that enables stronger flows, stronger penetration and eventually stronger cleaning; for instance, the Midea turbo washing machine spins at 1400 revolutions per minute (RPM). The machines have lunar dials, & high temperature water sprays that enable jet cleaning in turbo motors. The machines have also been upgraded for weather resistance and also offer flexibility for perfect looks on site.
Farah Alotaibi is Midea Small Domestic Appliances Manager. According to her the appliances include 2 to 30 litres microwave ovens; free standing cookers (both electric and gas powered) and other in-built & build-in appliances. The modern microwave also has the inverter Quattro series with electric transformer technology and low noise and even, satisfying results seen in cooking time reduction from 6 minutes to 2 minutes.
