Stewardship?

Every end of the year ushers in a celebratory mood and activities that indicate massive joy and fun and particularly on new Christmas Day & New Year eve.
Notably, the 2025 Christmas day eve, however, turned out quiet and serene for the first time in several years…
Yet, the celebration activities and attendant pace have been increasing every successive throughout the world.
Some general observations:
As the celebrations activities keep increasing in pace and intensity, people have tended to throw caution to the wind as if  their tomorrow does not matter anymore….
Hundreds of fireworks are blown up generating smoke and noise.. Is the noise and smoke a possible source of global pollution even on that single day or is it the case of a drop in the ocean?
Is personal privacy any longer a priority when celebrations take on national and global scale?                                               My general observations on Dec 31st 2025 night was that most domestic animals got scared and distressed because of the noise…
Given the massive noises and din, some dogs even hid in the farthest corners which they thought most safe and only emerged to feed only when the noise and din receded..
While most parents and senior citizens took cover from the noise and din in their secure residences and homes, many were possibly still distressed not knowing where their children were in the celebrations and perhaps only got reprieve when their children and young adults returned home.
On the other hand, several celebrants lost property including mobile phones when fellow celebrants turned to be thugs out to steal and mug others in the melee …
Do minority & animals rights matter anymore?                                                   Does the distress to some senior citizens and domestic animals & pets who apparently detest exaggerated noises and din during such celebration days or hours indicate some violation of minority rights? 🤔🤔🤔.
Should noise and air pollution discussions & debates arise during such occasions?..
.. . Apart from the noise and din, the air on new year eve was awash with smoke around where I made the observations.. In the same areas children have also, over the years, ‘innovated’ and nowadays burn domestic-use thin steel wool which they swirls in the area to create an impression of modern day fireworks..
Then the issue of the right standards for the fireworks used– are the fireworks certified and quality standards assured? 🤔🤔😊.
As stewards of our resources including the environment, are we really doing well when we engage our world with such abandon that even border recklessness & destruction on such days??
Perhaps discussing such issues is akin to ‘telling it to the wind’ , but ‘telling it to the wind’ still matters.
The ‘winds’ may one day hear and possibly respond 🤔
