Moi Avenue’s ‘street chandeliers’

This could well, and perhaps, be the first of their kind to be installed in Nairobi, and possibly in Kenya.
They have come with the ongoing intensive refurbishment and expansion of pedestrian spaces and streets in Nairobi CBD…

Despite the inconveniences, Moi Ave is today lovely, and well lighted at night..
The wide pedestrian spaces give a psychological feeling of bliss and peace and freedom with less vehicles noise.

Night time may prove very memorable along Nairobi’s Moi Ave especially from the Railway roundabout to the former Hilton hotel area this Christmas and future Christmas seasons.. …

Initially I would get sceptical when the earth movers removed tarmac, and red soil and murram was poured…
The compaction didn’t seem well done, from my limited building & construction knowledge, but this was followed by a provision of lighting poles spaces and flattening & massive cover of ballast and laying down of Cabro blocks and it’s very beautiful so far…commendably some of the trees have been spared and will continue growing….

The area near Kencom House and opposite international Life house is equally beautiful with unique and beautiful ‘ground lighting’.

Congratulations to Nairobi City County Government for the beautiful, lovely ongoing ‘Let’s Us Make Nairobi Work’ endeavors.
Much Kudos to NCCG’s team led by Hon Mr Arthur Johnson Sakaja.Β πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ™πŸΏ
